Why should I hire a Professional Makeup Artist?

A Professional Makeup Artist has a trained eye and understands how to create the perfect customized look for you and your skin tone, face and eye shape.  No matter what event, a Makeup Artist knows how to enhance your beautiful features, educate you on the lastest trends and make you look and feel your most gorgeous self.

 

 

Do you offer Airbrush Makeup?

I do offer airbrush makeup, however I only airbrush your foundation and blush, if necessary.  I find that accenting airbrush foundation with traditional blush, eyeshadow, lip color, etc. provides fantastic, natural looking results.

 

 

Why is airbrush foundation preferred over traditional foundation?

Do you ever wonder why all models always look like they have perfect skin?  One HUGE reason is that they are all airbrushed.  Airbrush makeup is the latest trend in the industry and was developed specifically to keep up with the constant changes in technology.  Everything is in High Definition these days, therefore your makeup must look amazing both far away and up close.

Airbrush foundation is lightly misted onto your skin which allows it to breath without magnifying your pores.  This offers a flawless coverage and feels extremely light weight.

Traditional foundation can often look and feel too thick and mask-like.  Due to uneven coverage, there is more touching up and re-applying of makeup, which over time will create that cakey feeling we all want to avoid.

Airbrush foundation wears for over 10 hours, does not fade, or rub off onto clothing and is water resistant.  Even after blotting tears, perspiration and moisture, the makeup stays intact.  The airbrush look needs minimal touch up and requires very little re-applying.

Not only does it look natural behind the camera, video, or in person, but it can cover almost any skin imperfection without looking unnatural.

 

Do you offer a consultation before your services?

I do offer a consultation before my services, but I charge a fee for it.  For my brides I require a consultation, so that together we are prepared for your special day.  Knowing exactly how you are going to look before your wedding day is intended to put your mind at ease.

 

Is there a deposit to secure my wedding date?

A $150 deposit is required to secure your wedding date.  This deposit is non-refundable, and is applied towards your total for the services rendered on the day of your wedding.  If you choose to take time to think about using me as your makeup artist, due to the nature of the business, I cannot reserve your date until I receive a signed contract and deposit.  You may follow up at any time after the trial by mailing your completed contract and deposit.  Please contact me ahead of time to verify that I am still available on your wedding date.

 

Do you offer hair services?

Yes, I do offer light hair styling and I also have a hair stylist on my team that comes with me when requested.  If you know that you are interested in using my hair stylist, please let me know ahead of time, so that we can schedule a hair trial for you if needed.

 

Do you travel?

Travel within a 20 mile radius from area code 48336 is offered without extra charge.  Travel outside of this area incurs a $0.50 per mile charge.

 

What cosmetic lines do you use?

Only the highest quality makeup is used on my brides.  Everything used is highly pigmented and looks great behind the camera. My most used cosmetic lines are: MAC Cosmetics and Temptu. I continually update my makeup kit to stay current with the latest makeup trends.

How do you maintain good hygiene for your tools?

I practice strict hygiene measures to ensure the safety of my clients.  I wash and sanitize my hands before touching my client’s face as well as multiple times throughout the makeup application.  My brushes are thoroughly cleaned in between each application and are sanitized with professional makeup brush cleanser.  Mascara is applied with a disposable wand to maintain a clean use every time.

 

How much do you charge?

My prices depend on the type of service rendered and event planned.  Please use the Contact tab to email me your detailed event information and receive a quote.  For weddings, my standard rates are on the Bridal Services tab.

 

 

What method of payment do you accept?

I accept Paypal, cash, money orders, and certified cashiers checks.  No personal checks, please unless cleared in advance.
